Lunch for Laborers
From July to August 2021 Lahaute Foundation set up a Dastarkhwan (Free Lunch Program) for Construction Workers in DHA Phase 8, Karachi, Pakistan. These workers have traveled from the rural areas of Sindh Province and beyond, in order to earn a meager wage building structures in the city. They are often provided little to no shelter, food, or safe drinking water. Lahaute distributed fresh, homecooked meals and cold water seven days a week, feeding over 150 people each day.
